Build Big Huge Biceps and Big Huge Triceps - Best Arms Exercises

So, you want stronger more muscular arms so you are the desire of almost every lifter. Who wouldn't be happy with big, peaking biceps sitting on top of rock-hard, horse shoe-shaped tris?
Many people are focused on building muscle in the arms, though the majority of these people lack knowledge of the different ways to work their arms the right way, and this decreases their acquired muscle mass. What are the insights into an effectively stimulating arm growth? We must first recognize three basic truths:
Best Arms Exercises

1) Well triceps and biceps are small muscle groups.
2) Pulling movements of the back can help the biceps receive heavy stimulation.
3) Pressing movements for the chest & shoulders heavily stimulate the triceps.
When attempting to gain maximum improvement in biceps and triceps size and strength, a very small amount of direct stimulation is needed.
When working your chest and back, your biceps and triceps are receiving stimulation at the same time. As biceps and triceps are considered small muscle groups, direct arm training really is not very productive. So this exhaust them.
Your muscles do not grow in the gym. The work that you do as you train with weights is merely the "ignition" that sets the wheels of the muscle growth process into motion. Weight loss takes place when your body is resting and eating, as this is when the body is building new muscle tissue.
This is the reason it is important not to over train your muscles. You must always make sure to provide them with sufficient recovery time if you want to see the best results. Your muscles may become smaller and weaker due to overtraining them.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying "don't train your arms", just work in the right amount of direct arm training.

Best Exercise For Tricep Mass - How To Get Big Triceps

What is the best exercise for tricep mass? If you, like me, believe that the best exercise is the one that results in the largest mass gains, then you should know that there is no ONE BEST EXERCISE for tricep mass. This article will describe why just one exercise is not sufficient for significant mass gains. It will also discuss, the best combinations of exercises for triceps, and how to utilize these within a work out for maximum mass gain.
The tricep as its name suggests consists of three muscle bundles or three heads. For maximum mass gain all three heads must be stimulated. No ONE exercise can do this. You might notice that you can lift extremely heavy when it comes to certain tricep exercises but not so much with others. The reason for this is that some bundles maybe more developed than the others. Therefore, it is only common sense that to really gain muscle mass on the triceps, one must stimulate all these bundles and a combination of exercises will be necessary to do this.
Best Exercise For Tricep Mass
So, the best exercise for tricep mass is actually a bunch of these exercises below.
Dips (weighted, if your body weight is too light for you)
Close-grip bench press
Skull Crushers
Tricep extensions
Kickbacks
Cable Pushdowns
If you don't know what these exercises are, you could Google, or YouTube them to get a good idea.
Now, if you have a particular work out day where you'll be doing your best exercise for tricep mass, or should I say best exercises, then you could do about 3 of these exercises. I am not going to tell you how many sets and reps to do, or what weight to use. This is because the method I advocate involves using a variety of set and rep ranges. I switch things up every few weeks. For instance you can do 3 sets of 15 reps for 4 weeks and then switch to a routine where you do 4 sets of 10 or 5 sets of 5. Each set and rep range has its own advantages. and you should not miss out on any of them.
If you're doing a full body work out routine on the other hand, I have found that the best exercise for tricep mass is dips. Dips, enable a great range of motion and do target the majority of the tricep region. But switching between this and the other exercises will obviously give you the best results
So my advice to you is pretty simple. Don't search for "the best exercise for tricep mass" looking for just one exercise. Instead focus on a wide variety of exercises and set and rep ranges. Always do whatever you do with intensity and push your muscles to their limit, and you will be working out right.
As a side note, also remember that the best exercise for tricep mass will do nothing for you if you do not eat and rest right. So make sure you have the basics covered and then work out your triceps HARD and SMART.
Though you may have come here looking for THE 1 best exercise for tricep mass, I hope you now understand that there is no miracle exercise, but you have to stimulate your muscles in different ways to get the maximum weight gains. The exercises listed above are also wonderful exercises for mass gaining but be sure to push your muscles to their limit and eat and rest right. It's not just about the best exercise for tricep mass, it's about the science of weight gain and a body builder's lifestyle

Top Ten Exercises For Toning the Upper Arms

When training the arms, it is important to take into consideration the anatomy of the upper arms. The upper arm is divided into two muscle groups, the biceps and the triceps. The biceps is the muscle group, which from an anatomical perspective, is the muscle anterior, or to the front of, the upper arm. The triceps is the muscle group in the back of the arm, or posterior anatomically. The term biceps indicates that the muscle has two muscular heads as opposed to the tricep which has three muscular heads. As a result, the triceps makes up the majority of the upper arm. So what are the top ten exercises to tone the upper arms?

Top Ten Exercises For Toning the Upper Arms
TRICEPS 1.) Tricep Pressdown-the tricep pressdown is a great exercise to tone the triceps. Targets most of the tricep with an increased emphasis on the long tricep head.
2.) Lying tricep extensions (e.z. bar)-great for targeting most of the tricep, especially the medial head of the tricep.
3) Dumbell kickbacks-when performed correctly really isolates the triceps well.
4.) Close grip bench press-great exercise to increase overall strength of the tricep.
5.) Overhead tricep extension-really targets the long head, and helps to tone the tricep.
BICEPS
1.) Standing barbell curls-the king of bicep exercises. Great for overall strength and excellent for creating an overload on the biceps.

2.) Incline dumbell curls-great for isolating the biceps and the incline angle allows for an increase in the overload on the biceps.
3.) Concentration curls-excellent isolation exercise that allows for a great controlled contraction of the biceps.
4.) Preacher curls-helps to improve the length and the definition of the bicep.
5.) Hammer curls-works to improve the length of the bicep, and helps strengthen the forearms. Ask your trainer about these great exercises for the upper arms.

Hitting Biceps and Triceps Twice Per Week For Optimal Gains

If you're a competitive bodybuilder, then a pair of killer arms are essential for making your mark in any competition you enter. If you're just a beach bodybuilder, a set of well developed biceps and triceps is very much needed to make acquaintance with the fairer gender in your travels. If you're just a regular guy trying to make a statement at work or anywhere, a pair of powerful arms is a prerequisite for getting noticed. Heck, is there any place when having an amazing set of arms isn't a distinct advantage?
Biceps and Triceps Twice Per Week
If your arms aren't where you want them to be - and whose are? - then you may want to consider giving them a little extra attention. Sure, this is the point where a trainer will yell at you to "train harder" and "push it to the max" and other cheesy catch phrases. If you're a hard working trainer, then you're probably already doing that. It's likely that you're giving your arms everything you have on their training day.
There's your limitation. Your training "day". You are training one day a week for your arms, just like all of your other muscle groups. There is the key to making better gains for this particular muscle group in particular - you need to train them more. You need to 'find' another day to hit your arms.
The easiest split is the common sense split. Chest & Triceps will be trained on Monday. Back & Biceps will be targeted on Tuesday. Wednesday is shoulder day. Thursday you hit your legs. Then Friday is arm day - AGAIN. On Friday, you train arms alone, to their greatest potential, then you drop the weight and you don't tough them again until Monday.
Since you will be hitting the triceps & biceps in a secondary role on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, you will want to avoid going too heavy for them on this training day. Use lower weight, with higher repetition. They won't be worth much in terms of control and balance of weight, since they've been torched with the heavy chest and back work already. Instead you should keep your repetitions in the 8 to 15 range, and use lots of sets.
Once the heavy day rolls around, it's time to get to work. Friday is "Lift heavy arm day" and nothing more. Use a rep range of 5 to 10 repetitions, and let the weight go heavy, as you have all weekend to heal.
Hitting the arms twice a week gives them 104 mini 'growth cycles' to enjoy each year - and the feeling you'll enjoy with bigger arms at the beach, bedroom, or bodybuilding stage will be indescribable!

Killer Triceps Workout For Building Triceps and Chest Together

Building triceps is a complete must if you are after having the best looking arms in the gym, as without big triceps the biceps are not going to look any good, this is due to the fact that the triceps are over 70% of the upper arms total.
So leaving the triceps to grow just through your pushing exercises such as chest workouts and shoulder workouts isn't a very good idea.
But I have before and still do give my triceps a fantastic workout through just pushing exercises. This might sound a little contradicting but if I am pushed for time of want to shock the muscles I do this workout.
Triceps and chest workout.
Building Triceps and Chest
1. Start with putting your feet up on a bench and your hands on the floor at shoulders width apart.
This is going to be a push up exercise that is going to pre exhaust your chest, as this push up will not hit the triceps to much at first.
Warm up with two sets of 12-15 reps, then add some weight by using a rucksack with some weights in so you do 3 working sets with a rep rang of 10-12.
2. Next move to a smith machine or a bench with a barbell and take a close grip about shoulders width, this can also be done with a press up with body weight or with a rucksack with weights in.
Do 4 working sets of 10-12 reps.
Included in this exercise will be a super set with dumbbell flyes doing a reps range of 9-10. This is to stretch the chest muscle and hit the outer part of the chest, don't forget to stretch the triceps as well.
3. I then do the same again either with a smith machine or barbell but in this exercise in a decline position, hitting the bottom part of the chest, once again super setting with flyes.
The two exercises above will hit the hole of the triceps heads as well as the inner and outer chest muscles.
4. I then finish the workout with some parallel bar dips, but I make sure I don't lean to far forward as this puts allot more stress onto the triceps and not so much on the chest as we have just worked the lower part of the chest, don't forget to keep your elbows in tight to your sides.
Do 3 sets of 8-20 reps you might find this is a bit hard as your triceps are probably cooked by now so do as many reps as possible.
This exercise will still hit the chest and add to the chest workout.
Key things to remember make sure you stretch your triceps and chest in-between all exercises and squeeze the triceps and chest when at the top of movement.
Have ago at this workout you will find it great for getting a pump and making the triceps and chest grow faster, also its great as I said before for saving time so you get in the gym and out in no time, and see maximum results.
